Sketch Itinerary
Auli is a Himalayan ski resort and hill station in the north Indian state of Uttarakhand. It’s surrounded by coniferous and oak forests, plus the Nanda Devi and Nar Parvat mountains. A long cable car links Auli to the town of Joshimath. North of Auli are the colorful Badrinath Temple, a Hindu pilgrimage site, and the Valley of Flowers National Park, with its alpine flora and wildlife like snow leopards and red foxes.
Chopta is also known as “Mini Switzerland“, and is getting popular year after year. Chopta Hill Station is located at an altitude of 2700 mts, in the Rudraprayag District of Uttarakhand State. Chopta is surrounded by dense forest, and offers majestic view of Snow Clad Himalayan Ranges and lush green meadows. Tunghnath is the one of the highest Shiva temple in the world & it is the third (Tritiya) in the five Panch Kedar Temples like, Kedarnath, Rudranath, Tungnath, Madhyamaheshwar & Kalpeshwar. Tungnath is located in the mountain range of Tungnath in rudraprayag district in the Indian state of Uttarakhand. It has rich legend linked to the Pandavas heroes of the Mahabharat epic.
Rishikesh is a holy town with so many Ashrams and it is famous for the yoga world wide. Rishikesh is now world famous as a Yoga Capital of the world. Every year during the March month one week long International yoga festival is hosted by Rishikesh. Rishikesh is also known as gateway to the Char Dham. The sacred river Ganges flows through Rishikesh. Here the river leaves the Shivalik Hills in the Himalayas and flows into the plains of northern India. Several temples, ancient and new, are along the banks of the Ganges in Rishikesh. Shatrughna Mandir, Bharat Mandir, Lakshman Mandir are the ancient temples established by Adi Shankaracharya. Shatrughna Temple is near Ram Jhula and Lakshman Mandir is near Lakshman Jhula.

Reach at Haridwar and Drive along the Ganges and the Alkananda river to reach Chopta. Reach Chopta campsite by evening, Dinner & overnight stay at chopta campsite.
After breakfast, we leave for trek to Tungnath – Chandrashila trek. Walk through golden hued meadows to reach Tungnath temple, the highest Shiva temple in the world continue to Chandrashila peak (13,000 ft. ) through Rhododendron trees. Enroute you may encounter many Himalayan birds including the Himalayan Monal Chopta is characterized by green carpets of meadows that seem to stretch on endlessly. Dinner and overnight stay at Chopta campsite.
Morning after breakfast to drive for Joshimath. Check inn into hotel or campsite at arrival in Joshimath or Auli. Then get ready to board the Auli Cable Car – Longest cable car in India (Note: cable car charges are not included in the package). Have a hearty breakfast and begin your journey towards the Yoga Capital of India. Rishikesh is around 270 km from Auli and it takes around 11 hours to reach. Drive through the famous Karnaprayag and Rudraprayag (confluences) and retrace the same route to reach the town of Rishikesh. Reach at campsite and enjoy the,Dinner and overnight stay in a campsite at Rishikesh.

This day be ready for rafting. You will be transferred to the starting point for Rafting. You will be provided with all rafting gear; safety briefing by trip Leader and then we will raft down the Ganges. This is grade III, III+ rafting stretch and usually takes about 3-4 hours on the river and has about 12 rapids including small and bigger ones. Some of the good rapids we run on this stretch are called Return to sender II, Roller coaster (III+), Golf Course (III. We end the trip before Laxman jhula and then drive back to camp.
