AN UNFORGATABLE JOURNEY

“KEDARNATH” – Highest among the 12 Jyotirlingas

Kedarnath is one of the holiest pilgrimages to the devout Hindu. It is set in the spectacular scenery of the Garhwal Himalayas at the head of the Mandakini River. Kedar is another name for Lord Shiva, the guardian and the destroyer.

We’re linking you to our local Uttarakandi community. Trekking across the Himalayas is going to bring a great trekking achievement, particularly when it comes to the holy Kedarnath trek. The Kedarnath Temple lies in the magnificent snow-capped Garhwal Himalayan ranges. The furthest of the four Chota char Dham sites. Kedarnath is situated in the Himalayas above 3,583 m (11,755 ft) above sea level near the Glacier of Chorabari, the source of the Mandakini.

  • Gaurikund – Gaurikund is the commencement point of the trek of 16 km to the sacred shrine of Kedarnath. It is situated at an elevation of 1,982 metres above sea level. The place is named after Goddess Parvati, wife of Lord Shiva and a temple Gauri is also situated here.
  • Rudraprayag – The famed town of Rudraprayag is named after the Rudra avatar of Lord Shiva. The pristine town of Rudraprayag is nestled on the holy confluence of Alaknanda and Mandakini rivers.
  • Devprayag – Devprayag is the last Prayag or the holy confluence of the Alaknanda River, from here that the confluence of Alaknanda and Bhagirathi River is known as
    Ganga.
  • Rishikesh – The place which gives you both spiritual and adventurous atmosphere.
  • Chopta is also known as “Mini Switzerland“, and is getting popular year after year. Chopta Hill Station is located at an altitude of 2700 mts, in the Rudraprayag District of Uttarakhand State. Chopta is surrounded by dense forest, and offers majestic view of Snow Clad Himalayan Ranges and lush green meadows.
Tunghnath is the  one of the highest Shiva temple in the world & it is the third (Tritiya)  in the  five Panch Kedar Temples like, Kedarnath, Rudranath, Tungnath, Madhyamaheshwar & Kalpeshwar.  Tungnath is located in the mountain range of Tungnath in rudraprayag district in the Indian state of Uttarakhand.  It has rich legend linked to the Pandavas heroes of the Mahabharat epic.
