Sikkim, state in India,is located in the northeastern part of the country, in the eastern Himalayas. It is one of the smallest states in India. Sikkim is bordered by the Tibet Autonomous Region of China to the north and northeast, by Bhutan to the southeast, by the Indian state of West Bengal to the south, and by Nepal to the west. The capital is Gangtok, in the southeastern part of the state
A part of the Eastern Himalaya, Sikkim is notable for its biodiversity, including alpine and subtropical climates, as well as being a host to Kangchenjunga, the highest peak in India and third highest on Earth. Sikkim’s capital and largest city is Gangtok.
Darjeeling is a town in India’s West Bengal state, in the Himalayan foothills. Once a summer resort for the British Raj elite, it remains the terminus of the narrow-gauge Darjeeling Himalayan Railway, or “Toy Train,” completed in 1881. It’s famed for the distinctive black tea grown on plantations that dot its surrounding slopes. Its backdrop is Mt. Kanchenjunga, among the world’s highest peaks.
Our representative will Meet and Greet on arrival at NJP Railway Station/Bagdogra and transfer to Gangtok. The drive will take you through a bank of river Tista with a beautiful view of mountains and river. On arrival Check-in to hotel and rest. Overnight stay at Gangtok.
After Breakfast will have a Full day Excursion OF tsomgo lake. The water in this lake has been accumulated from the melting snow on the mountains located nearby. The river Lungtze Chu originates from this lake, which meets Rangpo-chu down its course. According to the history, the colour of water of this lake was studied by Lamas so as to forecast about the future. They believed, if the water had a dark tinge, it indicated a year full of trouble and unrest in the state. later visit to Baba Mandir, is a distinguished sightseeing place of Sikkim. This “mandir” or shrine is dedicated to “Baba” Harbhajan Singh, who was a soldier of the Indian Army. Overnight stay at Gangtok.
After breakfast will move towards lachen. Lachen is about 129 km from Gangtok, and can be reached via a six-hour road journey. On the way we will visit Naga waterfalls, Butterfly waterfalls, Singhik view point, Chungthang view point and more. It is located at an elevation of 2,750 meter and hold at Lachen.
Early morning move towards gurudongmar lake. Gurudongmar Lake is one of thehighest lakes in the world, located at an altitude of 17,100 ft (5,210 m). It lies in thedistrict of North Sikkim in the state of Sikkim in India, only some 5 km (3.1 m) south of Chinese border.
After lunch will move towards Lachung which is a town in northeast Sikkim. It is located in the North Sikkim district and is near the border with Tibet. Lachung is at an elevation of about 9,600 ft or 3,000 m and at the confluence of the Lachen River and Lachung Rivers, tributaries of the River Teesta. The word Lachung means “small pass”. The town is approximately 125 km from the capital Gangtok, embraced by snow-capped mountain peaks, breath-taking waterfalls, sparkling streams and apple orchards is the perfect holiday destination Hold at lachung.
Early morning move towards Yumthang Valley is a grazing pasture surrounded by the Himalayan Mountains in the North Sikkim district of Sikkim. It is at an elevation of 3,564 m (11,800) at a distance of 150 km from the state capital Gangtok. It is popularly known as ‘Valley of Flowers’. Lachung is most sought after by tourist and the valley is either snow covered or the blooming Rhododendron always enhance the beauty of the place – On the way from Yumthang one may visit the famous hot spring known for its curative properties – Yumthang is a large valley surrounded by mountains where the tree line ends and the cold desert starts – In the winter months there is snow all around and the snow clad mountains adds to the beauty. After lunch leave for Gangtok. Overnight stay at Gangtok.
After breakfast check-out from the hotel and proceed to Namchi:
Namchi: Namchi is the capital of the district of South Sikkim in the Indian state of Sikkim. The appellation Namchi means Sky High in Sikkimese.
After this proceed to Ravangla:
Ravangla: Rawangla or Ravongla is a small tourist town situated at an elevation of 8000 ft in South Sikkim district of the Indian state of Sikkim. It is connected by state highway to other major towns in the state and lies between Pelling and Gangtok.
After this proceed to Pelling.
Pelling: is a small town in the northeastern Indian state of Sikkim, at the foothills of Mount Khangchendzonga. The late-17th-century Buddhist Sanga Choling Monastery has mountain views.
After reaching pelling check-in to the hotel and overnight stay in Pelling.
After breakfast we will have a Seight seeing of Pelling including Sangachoeling Monastery, Darap Village, Sewaro Rock Garden, Rimbi Waterfall, Kanchenjunga Fall, khecheopalri lake, Pemayangtse Monastery, Changey waterfalls and Sky Walk. After complete the sightseeing back to hotel and overnight Stay in Pelling.
After breakfast we will move towards to Darjeeling. Darjeeling is a beautiful hill town set in West Bengal which is known for its tea plantations. The place makes one experience the most breath-taking views of the Himalayas. After reaching Darjeeling, check-in to the hotel and after fresh up can have a toy train ride (BY OWN). free to roam Darjeeling market in the evening.
Early Morning at 3:45 am will move towards tiger hill. It is famous for its panoramic view of Mount Everest and MT Kanchenjunga together and early morning sunrise. On the way back to hotel visit the famous ghoom monastery and batasia loop. After breakfast will have a Sight seeing which include, Japanese temple, Peace pagoda, Ava art gallery, Padmaja Naidu Zoological Park, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (Closed on Thursday), Tenzing Gumpo Rock, Tibetan Refugee Self Help Centre (Closed on Sunday). Overnight stay at hotel.
After concluding your meal, pack your bags as your ride waits for Bagdogra Airport/NJP railway station. Return home with sweet and loving memories of Sikkim.
